I have 2 titles on a Memorex 4X 4.7GB 120min DVD+RW recorded with the LG RC700N DVD Player + VCR stand alone. To my surprise the contents amounted to 6.08GB. I am trying to take the video content and place them on a DVD+R. What I usually do is copy and paste the VIDEO_TS folder and using ifoedit create an ISO which in turn is burned onto a DVD. This has worked in the past. But the error message I get is "error: your files won't fit on a DVD-R" and using DVD shrink I get "DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue, Invalid data in file "C:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4.VOB"". Any suggestions?

You can't have 6 GB on a 4.38 GB RW. It just can't be done. What can happen is that some decrypters mis-read multi-angle or seamless branching titles as being two full titles instead of one title with extra bits.

Also, you do not need to use IFOEdit to create an ISO, just use Imgburn and select the Video_TS folder and burn a new disc.

From what you are describing, I suspect you have a corrupt VOB file that is throwing things off. Try burning with Imgburn from the Video_TS folder without any other processing and see what happens. If it isn't happy, see if FixVTS can do anything for you.

At first I used FixVTS for that last vob and it created a backup folder, I placed all of it's contents into a VIDEO_TS folder. I used IFOedit to create an ISO file for which I used Imgburn to burn onto a DVD+RW. They only thing I get at play back is the first title with no menu, which I don't mind. But for that one title I can't select a specific time place on that title to watch. I can only fast forward or fast rewind. I then used Imgburn to overwrite the ISO in the DVD+RW and place the VIDEO_TS folder instead. Aftter doing this I get the same results. I also took the original VIDEO_TS folder from the DVD+RW the one I started with and used Imgburn to burn onto a DVD+RW. Again same results except this time I got a menu.
