    I ordered TY DVD-R 8X white injet hub printable from rima.com. Just got them, but for the first time they are JVC. A JVC Taiyo Yuden joint venture. When did this happen? Are they any good? part # J-DMR-WPP-SK8. I ordered rima.com TY #1760-100?

    Several months ago. TY bought controlling interest in JVC: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/taiyo-yuden-to-jvc-conversion-chart-t374644.html

    AFAIK, they are the same TY, just a different label.

    Long before this joint venture, JVC branded TYG02 was available in the US, albeit a bit rare, in 5 packs. I have a box sitting on my computer desk as we speak.
