  3. It works just like a regular 74 or 80 minute CD-R. You just need to have a burner that can burn it, and set the overburn option in Nero. Most, but not all, DVD players will play the 99 min CD-R's.

  4. Similar question :
Nero doesn't recognize the 90 minutes cd as 90 minutes, just as 80 minutes (my cyberdrive 038D is officially able to burn 90 or 99 minutes cds) - still no problem just using the overburn feature of nero ?
i have no clue what happens whlie overburning (esp. more than the regular 2-3 minutes) and i've heared that overburning can also damage the writer, not cd only (though on the other hand in this case it would not be real overburning as the cd is 90 minutes)

    somehow confused ...

  5. 90 and 99 minute CD-Rs all report 80 minute capacity, you cannot make the CD-R report any larger number. Check the CD-RW list on this web site if it can burn 90 or 99 min. CD-Rs. You will most likely get an error message if your burner can't do it during the overburn process.

  6. Thanks a lot,
just burned a 85 min. VCD, played well on my noname DVD.

for all facing the same problem, enabling the overburn feature in neros advanced settings and ignoring the overburn message works (at least on my cyberdrive 038D) does the job.
