It should work fine without a problem, as long as you have a valid serial number. I am working in Apple DVD Studio Pro 1.0, and it works well on my G3 iMac in full OS 9. I was shocked! I can author the DVD content, have it author a compliant DVD1.0 image file, and burn the image file to CD-R (as long as the project is under 700mb) in Toast. I've made three of these miniDVDs this weekend ... now I just need to take them to work on Monday to test them in a software DVD player! I may stop by Kinko's and try it there if I can tear myself away from the software! I can't leave the house! Theres so much more to learn!

  3. Hi,

Thanks for the response, I have an Imac DV and the Apple site says Studio Pro requires a G4. I was thinking of getting another powerbook but if I can use my Imac it would be better.

    Thanks, Jerry

Yes, the statement it "requires a G4" processor put me off experimenting for awhile .. then I actually tried it! It worked.

Now keep in mind this is the very first version of DVD Studio Pro, so thats probably why it works. This is not the OS X version I speak of.

Also theres a learning curve there -- Nothing is obvious, for example, where to start first!
