  1. the software i have to record video puts it in different resolutions, including mpeg2, but writes the files as .mp2. VCDEasy does not recognize them, even if i change the extender. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  2. There's probably a reason why it is not working... The extension itself is immaterial -- it's what is in the file that counts.

Have you tried remultiplexing your MPEG-2 file with bbMPEG?

  3. No, haven't really tried much yet. VCDEasy does not recognize the file when I try to load it. It is not that it tries to load, and then says it can't. When the explorer window opens, the file is not listed. That is why i changed the extension, it seems to look only for .mpg or .mpeg.

    Thanks for the advice.

  4. If you want to load files with different extensions, on the filename box, type "*.*" and then press enter.

You can then see all files.

This works not only in VCD Easy but all Windows proggies.

What is the software you are using? This extention it means to me that it is a mpeg2 video only file. If it is true than you have to Mux the mpeg2 file with your audio mpa file in Tmpgenc or other software. VCDEasy is using programstream as I know.

If you play this mp2 file in Mediaplayer, do you hear sound?

  6. I am using ATI Wonder VE, with accompanying software, and yes it does play back with both video and audio.

TMPGEnc loads and plays it just fine. Then when I cut out the first and second half, the audio sync gets progressively worse throughout the entire movie.

    Thanks for the help.
