  1. Hey guys, I want to do a video podcast and was wondering if there's any way to record directly onto the audio track in Vegas using multiple mics. It recognizes one just fine, but I can't seem to figure out how to add others. Is this possible?

You need either to have an external real mixer to combine the 2 microphones into one output

    or

record the first track with your microphone and then assign another track and record that dialog

doing a live broadcast really requires an external mixer or an internal sound card with 2 or more mic inputs.

Working with a program like Vegas really expects everything to be prerecorded as separate tracks after all it is a post production editing program.

I would investigate an external mixer with say 4 inputs mic/line that plugs into the line input of your computer.

Or get a multi-input audio card so you can have multi-track recording in the PC

you will most likely need to record the multiple mics as a multichannel wav or aiff using the soundcard's app and then import that into vegas.
