hey whats up? i have run into a major dilema and i could use some help.
Currently i own the dazzle 2 to capture a "quote unquote dvd compliant mpeg 2 file. (variable rate)
The video and audio are perfectly insync. Quite a few dvd authorizing programs i have used convert the mpeg sound to pcm or something similar. So far i have tried, dvdit, ulead, etc. my problem is that when it demux/remux's the video and audio my clip losses it's sync (i also tried some test with tmpg tools and got the same result, but that gives me the message of possible buffer under run, why i do not know)
Can anyone let me know if their is a dvd burning program that will not remux/demux my file? i did try spruceup, but when i go to input it, it says theirs an error in the header and wont let me input the clip. Any help asap is greatly appreciated.
PS i did also try encoding to wav and ac3, the audio had the same running time, but when remuxed back it lost the sync. I just want to burn my clip as is with no conversion, i do not care about menus that much either, if that helps--thanks again!

i was able to solve my own problem (hooray!!). i demuxed the file, and saved the audio as a wave. I was thrown off as the vidoe file was 15mins, but the audio was the 28 full mins. At anyrate after doing some burning test(emu) they went back together just fine.

god damn it, does nothing want to work right. i should have burned the disc when it showed the sync. At any rate once again the sync is out.
I demux my video clip and use tmpg to make the sound a wav (since sound forge does not like mpeg 2). When it puts the 2 together (not matter what program) the sync goes out. Can anyone help me out, or maybe should i try another prgram thanks again-- -
Try a simple remux of your original mpeg with TMPGEnc (no demuxing necessary) before feeding into spruceup, this seemed to correct header info for me.
Alternately try authoring your dvd with DVDMovieFactory, I've had success with dazzle captures using that.
