  1. Hai, I'm planning on buying the EzCap(EasyCap) to record my ps3 however I'm a bit confused about the product.
It seems that there are few versions of EzCap, I have a choice of two to buy.
    This one:
    http://www.szforwardvideo.com/product/Pro_7_6.html
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/ClimaxDigital-EzCAP-Video-capture-source/dp/B001DERJZ6/ref=cm_...pr_product_top
    And this one
    http://www.szforwardvideo.com/product/Pro_15_6.html
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/ClimaxDigital-EZCAP-SNAPSHOT-capture-source/dp/B001MH7J7W/ref=...pr_product_top

What is the difference between those two? EzCap 166 and EzCap 108. Which one is better and more suitable to record PS3.

    Thanks.

  2. I think there is no difference... just different shapes.

With previous EasyCap's, I think the difference was the USB chipset. For instance I have the EasyCap with Syntek 1160 USB chip and It does not have official 64bit drivers (there are unofficial thou) and It did not worked with MAC Osx. Later Easycap's (v3.1 and v3.3) use a different usb chip but the same Phillips video.

I think It does a nice capture work (for the price) with a clean signal. I bought it to capture old vhs so I was a little dissapointed.

Check ebay, y payed less than half the price for my EasyCap a few month's ago. Just remember to get the later version.

    Good luck

  3. Bought the 166, probably for the fact that it's a model with higher number :P. Works well.

  4. Good to hear that.

If you have drivers problems, do not fear. It's common.
