  1. I am using a Pentium 4 1.5Ghz, 256 RDRAM with ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon, MGI VideoWave 4 and WinME. My problem is--I can't get my captured video to be full-screen when I play it back. It is shrunk either vertically or horizontally depending on how I set it up in my video template. The closest I can get is using 320 x 240 but I STILL get a little black at the top and bottom of my screen on playback. Can anyone help? Thanks.

  2. that is normal. divx/avi doesnt stretch the image to fit the screen like vcd/mpeg does.

if your screen is set to 1024*768 and your encoded video is 352*240 then it will fill the width (which is a multiple of 2.91) the height would then be 698.1 lines. meaning 70 lines of black space.. 35 top and 35 bottom.

320*240 would be a multiple of 3.2 which is equal to 768 lines of height, thus a perfect ratio and full screen.

a 480*480 or 352*240 or 320*240 mpeg will stretch to fill the screen even if the ratio is odd.

    warning: i suck at math
