  1. Can anyone help with this? There is no hack code listed so I tried some others that looked similar models. They basically say
    1) open dvd tray
    2) press set up
    3) select preferences
    4) enter code 138931

i get the set up menu but it does not say preferences anywhere. I have quick set up and custom set up but no preferences in sight. Help!!

    1) Some DVD players can't ever be unlocked. Maybe this is one of them.
    2) Most BluRay players can't ever be unlocked. If you do unlock them, it's almost always only for DVD playback and not for BluRay playback.
    3) Almost nothing made by Sony or Samsung can be unlocked.
    4) Sometimes manufacturers make hardware and/or firmware changes that break hacks that worked in the past. In the case of firmware, if you can find older firmware to install and the player allows you to do it, it will restore the ability to unlock the player.
    5) Speciality players (portables, DVD/VCR combo players, DVD/TV combo players, DVD recorders, home theater systems) usually can't be unlocked.
