  1. So I'll try to make this as quick and painless as possible:

    I just started up a website called GamerFill.com , which relies heavily on video game reviews through the use of videos.
    I HAVE made these videos before by editing various trailers together and gameplay footage other people took, but I was hoping to make the experience more unique for the viewers by being able to capture footage myself.

    The problem is, I have no idea what to do. I ended up purchasing the "fake" version of EzCap, and now I'm not sure whether to go for the new EzCap 116, or Dazzle Video Creator Plus, or if there is another method out there.

    I want to end up with quality that is at least equal with this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ufqYEaAP6Q

    I am not trying to self-promote by posting that video, just give a comparison as to what I am looking for quality-wise.

    I've already got all the software needed (Sony Vegas Pro 9.0; Adobe After Effects, etc), just maybe not to record the video. That, and I don't exactly know which route to go for quality as decent as the video I posted above.
    Not to mention the videos will be posted on my website from now on, so the quality will not be bogged-down like it is on youtube all the time.

    Should I just keep editing trailers and gameplay videos throughout the internet, or should I try one of those capture cards? Or is there a third method that produces decent results?
    As you can see, I'm now completely clueless as to what I should do.

    Thanks a million to whoever helps me out with this!

  3. Sorry about that redwudz, I wasn't thinking correctly.

    @mrswla
    That is PERFECT. I'm buying it right now! Thank you so much!

  4. There's also AverMedia's AVerTV HD DVR and Blackmagic Design's Intensity Pro. The latter requires a hefty PC because it does compression in software.

  5. Yeah, I looked up Blackmagic already and it just wasn't quite right, and I was looking for something external.
    Thanks for helping though!

    I ordered the Hauppauge last night; while yes it's a decent amount of money, I'm completely serious about this website.

    Thanks for helping guys; a mod can close this threat if you wish to.
