  1. I've never made a VCD before and I don't know how to burn a VCD with more than one show. If I want to burn one with 3-4 20min shows do I have to join them and then encode with TMPGenc? I want to be able to skip from show to show. Can this just be done with menus?

If an experienced VCD burner could give me the simple steps I can follow the online steps for encoding and making menus...I just need some info before I can start.

    Thanks,

  2. Sorry...I should have been more clear. Perhaps I am not looking in the correct place, but I can't find in the links provided (which I did check before I posted...) anything about calculating the bitrate when using mulitple files. Or maybe I'm just not understanding the procedure.

If I am going to put 4 shows onto a VCD or SVCD I first need to encode them. Since I can burn the multiple files in Nero I don't need to join them, I simply to encode the files using the proper format first. When I use the handy-dandy bitrate calculator do I need to adjust the time of the track to reflect that more than one file will be on the VCD/SVCD. My worry was to encode the first file only to have it calculate the bitrate assuming it was the only file on the disc (eg. one 20min movie on 80meg disc) and have the file encoded to large to include the other shows.

    I hope this makes sense...

    Thanks again,

  3. To clarify further...the question is for when I am using TMPGenc for encoding and NOT Nero. When I use the bitrate calculator from the help section and I am using more than one file do I just calculate and encode each file separately or do I need to compensate for the other files...

    Clear a mud.
