  1. I've got one of those weird DVD standalone players that will only play VCDs recorded on CD-RWs, it won't play CD-Rs. I know how to capture, and all the other stuff, but just not how to get these MPGs onto a CD-RW. When I put in a blank CD-RW, the Direct CD menu comes up and wants to format it. I also have Easy CD Creator (an old version) and My DVD which I plan to use to make the VCD.

  2. Just read the Authoring section under "How To" , basically you just need a program to burn the files to a disk such as Nero.

You will need to switch off Direct CD, it will want to format. But even if it did format the CDR-W Easy Cd will over-write the format. Pop along to Roxio and update your Easy Cd Creator. There is updates for Adaptec and Roxio. You will need Video Cd Creator

How do you know your DVD player plays CDR-W but not CDR ?, if you have not made any CDR-W yet ? most DVD players play CDR, but not CDR-W !!!

  4. The reason I know is that I've tried audio CD-Rs and they don't work but audio CD-RWs do, also the instruction manual itself states that CD-Rs don't work but CD-RWs do.
