Hello,
One of my friends has a Mitsubishi wide screen HDTV, and we're going out to Best Buy tonight to pick out a progressive scan DVD player. What are some of the better progressive scan players? I have read that different manufacturers use different chips for the progressive scan output, so quality can vary. Also, the player has to be able to play CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, and VCDs (at the least). Any suggestions would be appreciated, and the quicker the better since we're picking up the DVD player tonight!! I kinda doubt the average Best Buy employee would be able to give us any useful advice anyway![]()

I've read a lot of good (user) reviews concerning the RCA 6001P player - plays everything, great picture, component outs, etc etc - and considering Best Buy's fantastic return policy, it's worth a shot:
