All the programs mentioned for ripping are for PCs, anyone know what works on a Mac? In particular, I spend part of every year in backwoods Mexico, and I need to change the region to watch rented DVDs, then change it back when I get home. Except I think only 5 changes are allowed and then a Powerbook permanently stays in the last region.

    AnyDVD + CloneDVD2

I use both of these rippers since they are simply the best for copying a dvd, plus they both have the main movie option. I can't really pick one over the other since they are pretty much the same when it comes to the quality output.

  3. soneman here is how you keep using anydvd trial.

you need a program called -DELETED-
when your trial runs out uninstall it when it asks if you want to keep the information select no.

    then restart your computer.

then run -DELETED- then restart your computer again.

then download the new trial install it and restart your computer again and you get a new 21 day trial

I don't understand, you pay for the DVD and all you want is to make sure that nothing happens to it. I live with young children you see and as you can imagine being that young one of your pastimes is to destroy anything in sight. I'm just trying to protect my purchase.

We should be allowed to make a free backup of purchased original DVDs. I don't think there should be any copy protection on them in the first place because of the aforementioned factor.

Looks like I'm going to have to start buying these new DVDs 2-3 months after release either that or find some way of finagling the AnyDVD trial.
Just buy AnyDVD and be done with it...problem solved...you can't be cheap if you're in a big hurry to rip the newest DVD's.

Dvd Decrypter(Ripit4Me) still works great inline with anydvd...have never had an issue

(wish that Dvd43 guy would update his app more often)

They probably didn't want to pay the Macrovision licensing fee.
