I cannot install Nero onto my computer without getting errors. Don't ask me why, the Nero support people can't figure it out either, and will be refunding the money I paid for Nero 9 reloaded. My question is what is as good as Nero or better. I basically , just burn movies, music, and convert MP4's and burn them to disk. I know this forum is for video, but i need to be able to burn music as well. Any recommendations please?

Use IMGBURN to burn your discs.

I love that software too, very fast, but i don't think you can burn music with it. It is more of a converting software i think!

Stop looking for a one button solution to your problems. Use the best tool for the job. If that means you need 6 very good tools instead of one mediocre tool, then that's the way it is.

Otherwise look at one of the other abominations, such as Roxio

No thanks with Roxio, does IMGBurn burn music, if so i will only need two tools ConvertXtoDVD and IMGBurn?

It does, but it doesn't have all the features of some other tools. Personally, I use Prassi ONES for audio, and Imgburn for data and video

Guns1inger I would be curious to know what you use for converting? Particularly MP4 to DVD-Video?

Mostly I don't. I have a PS3, so I put most files directly onto a portable HDD and play from that without conversion.

If I do have to convert, I usually use AVStoDVD, and if I need special menus, DVD Lab Pro for authoring. If I am doing video transfer or restoration work then it is avisynth and HCEnc, then into DLP.

If AVStoDVD fails for some reason, I might use ConvertXtoDVD V3 (I am not impressed with V4)

So basically you prefer AVStoDVD over ConvertXtoDVD?

While ConvertXtoDVD works I've switched (from Nero) to DeeVeeDee. I've found it more stable than AVStoDVD.
