Ok I think I got the idea of how to do it but I can't seem to generate the file correctly.

What I want to do is make a clean html file for my unmodded psp to list a directory of txt files that I want to load onto my memory stick.

I can load a single txt file on the playstation portables web browser. However its a pain to type out the full file name to load the txt file. I want to make a list file that I can click on the name of the txt file and have it load just like you would when browsing on a regular computer (except instead of a computer folder it would be a webpage).

Simply put I want it to look like this:

    name of text file 1.txt
    name of text file 2.txt
    name of text file 3.txt

Then when I click on say file 2 it would load file 2 without physically typing it in each time. The psp does have a bookmark feature but it still requires typing in the file name once. I don't want to have do that. I just want to compile a list into a single web page that the psp browser would be able to read. Then as I add more txt files I could simply cut and paste the new file into the html code and recopy it to the memory stick (or simply edit the existing file on the memory stick itself.

Fyi the folder structure would like this - psp/common/filename.txt

Thanks for your help. And I don't need any fancy font formats or pictures or whatever, just simple plain text.

Edit - yes I have tried google and found a href code but am uncertain how to apply it to a naked text example like this - nothing fancy just file location not web page location.

EDIT 2 - i found an application that works just like I want and runs on an unmodded psp.

Its a php file - pdc_launcher.php. It has a file selection window that lets you browse the memory stick and then load the file into a tab to view. Why Sony didn't incorporate this feature natively I don't know. But this was better than my plan. This way I don't have to do anything other than copy files to the memory stick and then browse the folder.

    Thanks.

Sometimes you have to cheat a little .. if you have office 2003, try this tip..

    1. open folder full of .txt files, be sure to position it so you can get to it and ms word w/out obstructions
    2. ctrl+A to select all files (or highlight only the ones you want to add, or use ctrl+click on files you want)
    3. now, open up ms word
    4. w/ folder and ms word in easy view, right click the highlighted files but don't release, then
proceed to drag into the word pane, then release, and chose "create hyperlink here".
    5. then, save that as an HTML file
    6. now you can open inside an html utility to fine-tune it to your liking.

warning: If you left-click and drag, it will eat up resources and hang your system because ms word wants to eat up activate or play every file dragged into it.

    @vhelp - thanks!

I have an older version of Office but it worked! I was able to drag and drop a handful of txt files and created a hyperlink. Than I simply spaced them out so they weren't bunched together. I saved it as an .htm file. I opened it on the pc with firefox and selected a file and boom - it opened up!

I appreciate the assistance. Though I do prefer the php file I found since it negates the need to do anything manually.
