I'm looking for a good DVD Authoring program to where you can insert a .srt subtitle file. Something with easy menu making ect. I hear DVD-Lab Pro is good but is there a better choice with ease? Menus with sound etc. Any suggestions?

Click the link which are the names,

    DVD-lab

    DVD-lab PRO

I also have used DLP for quite a few years but it ONLY authors, it does not prepare any of your assets, video, audio, ect

If you want menus with sound you make them by importing your backrground image or video & audio.

DLP is very good and very powerful, but it doesn't do anything for you. This means you have to plan things out before you jump in if yu are doing anything but something simple. This is, of course, good practice regardless of the tool, but for DLP it is a must.

Most authoring tools will happily handle SRT subs and do audio on menus or even motion menus.

If you are new to authoring, try DVD Styler (free) or Tmpgenc DVD Author (not free)
