Here is the deal: i have many MP4 files compressed with H264 for video and AAC 48 kHz for audio.

I want to make a large big video out of those files, but with MP4 i can't - Sony Vegas Pro 8 does not play any sound, and Ulead VideoStudio 11 does not even process MP4...

Is there a program that could FLAWLESSLY convert MP4 files to AVI without the loss of quality?

I should have made avi in the begining, i did not know that so many programs don't like MP4...

Another option more complicated with no loss of quality is the change of the MP4 container to an AVI one.
You can extract the h264 from the MP4 with Yamb.
You can convert the AAC with foobar2000 to WAV and after convert it to AC-3 with eac3to.
Input the video and audio in AVIMuxGUI and you have an AVI file.
And you can join all your AVI files in a bigger one with AVIMux_GUI, too.(If you're "lucky"!)

This program is simple and good:

i can convert MP4 to AVI without the loss of quality keeping H264 AVC for video, and for audio - i can make it default PCM uncompressed and then compress it to whatever audio codec i want!

    Basically what i wanted..

OR, you can do it the easy way with Format Factory. Just make sure you use the same settings as the original.
