AVStoDVD is very easy to use and I like it a lot.

I'm making a DVD and all the video was encoded in NTSC and I didn't have to reencode it. I then choose NTSC for all the material on the disc. Now the thing is that that video have now been reencoded and I thought that I would reencode all the video on the disc to PAL. It has worked great on all the material exept this video.

The source is vob files. I have merged the files to one big vob but the same problem comes with the merged file or original vob files. NTSC endocing works great but PAL is another thing. Audio is normal but video lags behind. It jumps back and plays a second or two over and over.

Because I live in a PAL part of the world and the disc is for a PAL world. Do I even have to do this work or is it just unnecessary work?

Most likely this is unnecessary. In most parts of the PAL world the players and/or TVs will accept NTSC material. Test playback of NTSC material on your player (costs you nothing) to see if you can skip the conversion.
