I registered, VHS A film by 1:56 minutes.
With a DVD recorder JVC DRM10 in FR 155.
However, there remain 10 minutes free in the DVD.
Why?
Panasonic ES15, and pass-through?

The recording time is an estimate. VBR encoding does not always clock in perfectly. It undershoots rather than risk an overshoot. Plus overhead is left for some menu authoring. The "10 minutes left" is an estimate too, it may just be 7 minutes available.
CBR encoding is more exact, but lower quality. VBR is better.

If I, a film of 1:56 minutes.
What quality of recording, I choose?
Panasonic ES15 is a pass-through? -
If you insist on filling the disc, and want to gamble, then set it for 5 minutes less.
A 1:55 show (115 minutes) would be set to FR110.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
