I didn't find a way to express my idea in a concise title, but here goes. I want to produce a video from two videos, which will play together in parallel, one to the left, and one to the right. So it's sort of a split-screen view. Is there any software that allows me to do this relatively easily?
Thanks.

Avisynth with stackhorizontal, see https://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/two-video-clips-side-by-side-t318177.html and then open the .avs in a video editor/converter like virtualdub and convert it.
