  1. Hi
I got myself an LG BD350 blu-ray standalone player and I tried making a data dvd-r with an .h264 encoded mkv on the disc, but my player does not play it, does my player not support mkv playback?
I read at another place that some people convert the mkv to avi and then plays them on blu-ray standalone players. Is that what I am supposed to do also?

virtualdubmod -> open mkv -> direct stream copy in both video and audio selection -> save as avi

I hope this hasnt been asked too many times, but I tried searching the board with no luck of finding an answer to my specific question.

    Thanks in advanced

This player's manual does not claim to support MKV containers. However, H.264 is OK. If you can put your video in an MP4 or AVI container it should work.
