  1. Ok I opened up my divx file in virtualdub and I know i must save to a wav file and combine the wav and the video in tmpeg. Now the problem is that when I open the video file in virtual dub I get this message that the virtualdub has detected an invalid VBR encoding and that I must convert the audio to an uncompressed wave file and then recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. If I save to a wave from virtualdub and then combine the video and audio in tmpeg I get to 62% and then get an invalid audio error. Can anyone tell me what I need to do with the uncompressed wav file to make it compatible?

The crash is probable freeze frames, and not audio problems.

Downlaod "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe" and scan for freeze frames, it makes a log so you can delete bad frames (at keyframes).

Then start your convertion as normal.
