in this test, I am testing to see if one instance of image is shown, but without the "attachment" pane showing.

EDIT: success, it worked!! and now to figure out how to remove the "attachment" pane when it does come up..

I just use the 'Insert Image' button:

[Attachment 669 - Click to enlarge]

    Instead of the 'Attachment' button.

I figured it out the first time i tried to post a photo and it would not show up like they used to, then as i was previewing my post wondering what was up & i was looking at the little icons, the one was a photo of a tree and said "Insert Photo" and the rest is pretty much self explanatory....

    P.S.

Where is the DOH smiley ??

@ redwudz, the insert in your first suggestion does not work. it wants an http:// source. these files come from my computer. i never upload my images to other sites anymore, only here, directly.

the only option i see is the attachment routine, but keeps giving me the same annoying attchment window, but it seems others have success uplading their images from their computers to this website without that annoying attachment window, here

    what else can i do ? ? ?

It's the same as these instructions: How to Properly Upload Images and Attach Files to This Site
    Standard vB method.

    Inline vs "attached" attachments.

    Not much different than email.

ls, if you look at the top, my first post, i was able to post a non-attached image.

some time later, that was changed in this boards functions and features. I think function was removed from the [reply to thread] screen because i used to post either methods, though not any more, it seems. now all i get is that annoying attachment window in my uploaded images.

ok, so to get this image to show, i had to:

(after many tries over time, it seems that opera doesn't allow you post post images, seems only firefox does, using the steps below)

    1. click the [ ] image button
    2. upload the image from my computer
    3. click [preview post]
    4. scroll back to prev page
    5. click [upload files/manage attachments]
    7. right-click my uploaded image link and copy to clipboard
    8. click [remove] image
    9. click [preview post]
    10. insert the [img] tags and paste address of posted image.
    11. click [preview post] .. to make sure that image posted (w/out attachment window showing)
    12. scroll back to prev page and finally, click [submit reply] button..done

    There's a test forum.
    https://forum.videohelp.com/forums/19-Test
Use it rather than "feedback", which this isn't.
Then they don't come up on "new posts" and you don't have to ask people to "ignore".
