I have copyed 2 vob files to my computer when i convert them to wmv files using prism video converter i get a message that the timestamp is in error and i should manually specify a framerate. I changed the framerate from 30 to 25 and reconverted the file, part of the file will play correctly and 12 +minutes will not show anything. This happened each time, before I reconverted, and after. How can I fix this and recover the missing video. I don't think it is corrupted because it plays in it's entirety in the camera.

Just try convert with something else, like winff, xmedia recode.

And if you are converting from a dvd try use vob2mpg to create a single mpg from the vob files. Then convert the mpg.
