  1. Trying to copy Snatch to DVD-R:

I’ve done all the encoding and re-encoding etc with ReMpeg. Works fine, although I miscalculated the bitrate and only ended up with 3.5gig!

I wanted to keep the Dolby 6Ch AC3, and the only program that I can seem to find that supports this is DVD Maestro. I used this no problem and my DVD worked, but the menu thing is so complicated.

MyDVD and DVD it don’t support AC3 import, (DVDIt PE seems to, then when I try to build the file, it comes up with an error) only wav, so I had to convert to WAV to use these. Would I lose much quality?

The best one was SpruceUp – this let me import 6Ch AC3 and the menus are wicked, but it only does 4:3 not 16:9!!!!

Any suggestions? I tried stripping ir with IfoEdit etc, but it was still 5GB

The best I’ve come up with then is a good quality movie with AC3 6ch but complicated menu (I'm new to this so I like it easy!) (with DVD Maestro) or a good quality movie with WAV audio with wicked menu (DVDIt PE)

  3. What I would do is use Spruce-UP, then use IFO-EDIT to change the aspect ratio to 16:9 from 4:3 - it's pretty easy to do - this has worked for me, although now I use DVD-Maestro.
