    has anyone used windows xp for making VCD's yet, I just upgraded and havent had the time to try out my programs. they all worked fine with windows 98.

    Yups, I'm cooking VCD's under XP using Nero, works without any probs.

    You can't use flaskempg with the panasonic plug-in

    But try making svcd with dvd2svcd great tool, better quality and completely working under Win XP

    i use dvd2svcd and it works better under xp than it did under 2000. under win2000 an my dual PIII 600 i got CCE encoding speeds around .320, after the upgrade it jumped to .815 on average
