  1. With the Samsung UN55C7000 coming out recently I'm really curious if there will be 3D TVs not compatible with the PS3?

In what way not compatible ? I don't understand the question. It's just an HDMI connection.

    Am I missing something ?

From what I have read, the PS3 will even be firmware updated for 3D playback, however because it is HDMI 1.3 it will be limited to 1080i for 3D, instead of 1080p which the HDMI 1.4 devices will produce.

  3. My question more specifically is will 3D over HDMI support be unified in such a way that e.g. a 3D bluray player will work on ALL 3D HDMI TVs?

Engadget has been my guide for this topic. They say that while HDMI 1.4 devices are guaranteed to support 3D, most HDMI 1.3 devices are 3D capable at least. Throughput for 1080p 3D on 1.3 is not an issue. I think though that we will only see 3D 1080p 24Hz over 1.3 and not a full 60 frames because of the limitations in player hardware. Beggars can't be choosers. I'm basing this all off of Sony's Greg Belloni statement.

Another curious thing is if 3D over DVI/HMDI cables would/wouldn't work.
