  1. I've been playing with RipBot264 and XviD4PSP (v6). I own quite a few BD movies that I would like to rip to my media server and want to maintain video and audio quality as much as possible.

For comparison, I've downloaded and seen a few scene released movies in the 14-15GB ranges that were quite impressive. These seem to be 1080p resolution with no black bars and DTS encoded audio.

I'm wondering if I am using the correct tools as I have yet to get results that I'm looking for. First, the tools only give me the option (that I am aware of) of AAC audio (not sure...maybe that is better????). Second, the tools seem to leave the black bars in place (even when I select autocrop in RipBot).

Any help, pointers, settings, or advice that would help me get a good quality rip performed that would rival those I have downloaded would be greatly appreciated!

Choose COPY STREAM in ripbot264 to keep dts or ac3 audio. And use the preview button after you autocropped and if it still black borders crop manually, and be sure to resize to correct resolution, like a 2.35:1 movie should be around 1280x588.
