Ok i've been thinking about getting a blu-ray drive so i can rip my bluray movies on my computer and convert to avi or mpeg1/2. i know how to convert to a dvd so thats not an issue, but form bluray to avi lets say, do i need a specific SPEC that my computer must be able to handle? i have a win xp 2GB ram, Pentium ( R ) D 2.80 GHz, 2.79 GHz
running service pack 3 computer. can it even handle a bluray to avi conversion? i'm not looking to watch bluray movies on my comp just lookin to convert/encode to another format.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Yes, it can handle blu-ray to conversion. You need a lot of space to rip the blu-rays to the hdd though.
But if you are going to convert to HD (especially h264) it will take very looooong time to convert. -
nah not HD just avi w/ divx codec. not looking to maintain such huge quality.
