I'm looking for an inexpensive route to capture video from my xbox 360. I looked at cam versions and hte flip cam which is fairly reasonably priced. I ended up just purchasing a dazzle hd in the interm just to try to capture the video through the pc. What i'm trying to do however is capture a video about 60 minutes in length and i need there to be a delay of about 5 seconds black screen before the video starts. Don't ask why. I just do lol. The problem with the pinnacle studio software is it wont allow you to start capturing until you turn on the xbox or input device. Is there software that will allow you to begin recording and then turn on the xbox or inptu device?

Years ago I bought a Dazzle DVC150 it came with a linear timeline editor MovieStar 5, if you have a video editor like that or sony movie studio you could import your video and slide it 5 seconds to the right so it would have a blank 5 seconds at the beginning.

I actually just downloaded a program called virtualdub. it allows me to start recording before on turn on the xbox. the problem with this is i can't get the sound to work with the dazzle, and the quality is pretty bad. what are some other good free capture software? I'm getting closer to what i need lol.
