I have a Sony HD camcorder HDR S11. But I tried to dubb from camcorder to hard drive of recorder, and the the dubbing is not possible . The message from the recorder is: NO MOVIE CAN BE DUBBED FROM HDD-CAM.

    Help please.

did you read the manual? most likely all you do is attach the usb cable and copy the files off the cam.

  3. Yes I read the manual. But the manual says that dubbing is quite possible. The USB cable is not on the set. Seeems to be different from USB cables that I know.

Page 30 of the manual covers troubleshooting USB connections. The USB jack is identified as a "mini-B", one of the multiple standard USB connectors. (P. 34).

Page 34 gives full details as to how to connect to the computer, including PC specs, etc.

Have you followed all these instructions and loaded the required software?

Most camcorders use a mini USB connector . Most USB camcorders include the cable.
