I need a Capture card to record my TV with that doesn't need to hook up to my computer until I need to get the footage off of it. Recording in HD would be REALLY helpful, but only decent quality is required. I can't seem to find one like I want, and I was hoping someone could give me a hand

Nothing resembling what you want this exists in N. America for HD recording. The best you can do without capturing directly to a computer is to use a DVD recorder equipped with a hard drive to record in SD resolution. It would be connected to your game system and to your TV with composite cables.

[edit] You would dub to rewritable DVD media to transfer to your computer.
