  1. MY QUESTION:
    The PS3 can playback VC1 files within a WMV container BUT does not support more than 2 channel audio. Is it possible to remux (not convert) a bluray stream (.M2TS) that is VC1 into a .WMV and patch the DTS core to WMA v2 (similar to how mkv2vob patches it to think its 2 Ch. Linear PCM) to make the PS3 think it only has 2 channels like we do (using mkv2vob) with the .MKVs?
    Is this already possible? If so what program? And if not does anyone know if this is being worked on by a dev.?

    There may be flaws in my thinking so I welcome anyone with knowledge on the topic.

    Well, the ASF container ( marketing name = WMV ) does support uncompressed audio,
    however I don't know whether the PS3 will accept to play it from a WMV file... Anyway:

    pure DTS file --> (spdifer.exe) --> DTS .WAV @ 1536kbps ;

    m2ts --> tsmuxer OR eac3to --> VC1 file ;

    VC-1 --> vc12avi --> AVI file w/ VC-1 stream
    (OR: VC-1 --> mkvmerge --> MKV file --> AVI-Mux GUI --> VC-1 in avi,
    whichever works first/better) ; then,

    VC-1 in AVI --> vidtoasf.exe --> VC-1 in ASF ;

    At last, try to do the final muxing with Windows Media Stream Editor and/or AsfBin.

    Good-luck!

    It would seem that spdifer is used, but as I have never used that program I can offer no assistance on its use.
