Hello!

I am considering buying a PINNACLE STUDIO DV PLUS capture card but today I was told in a computer shop that the card doesn't support any other software than the one that comes with it properly. So, for example, I wouldn't be able to use Adobe Premiere with it or at least I would have to do without functions such as Timelineplayer or intelligent rendering systems since these are usually based on plug-ins provided by the card producers.

Can anyone please tell me whether this is true and if so what other comparable card has better software support?
