  1. Hello new here, looks like a great forum. I was wondering if someone could help.

After downloading the .mp4 from online, from YouTube (it's my video), I convert it to MPEG-II using MPEG Streamclip, I don't change the resolution. I export as quicktime, unscaled, 100% quality, h.234.

I import it into a DV - NTSC Standard 48k document on Premiere and the video is small inside the frame. I know the basis behind the size, but if I upsize the video in MPEG Streamclip then quality is bad.

I am sure this is child's play to some of you, which is why I am here.

Thanks for your help ahead of time.

  2. Don't use that preset, use a custom one that matches your input video's specs (same dimensions, fps)

Don't convert it so many times, you use quality each time (including youtube's conversion). Start with your original video (the one before uploading to youtube)

Yea I was dumb and forgot to back it up (I know stupid). When I download the MP4 and import into Premiere it comes in with just the audio, so I read to convert it to MPEG-II. Cool on the size thing, I understand. It's not a REAL important video, so it's not a huge deal, just something for fun. Thanks

  4. You may need quicktime installed, and/or ffdshow for premiere to "see" the .mp4 video from youtube
