Cannot convert 7.5 GB mkv file to wmv?

It's a 1280x544 movie, with filename The.Lord.Of.The.Rings.The.Fellowship.Of.The.Ring.2 001.720p.HDTV.x264-THOR.mkv
Trying to convert to wmv format for burning and playing on my xbox360. However, nothing will convert this file. SUPER gives me an error, MediaCoder outputs a 0 byte file and the logs simply show "loading windows media splitters", "waiting for processes to terminate", and then "failed to convert". Xilisoft Video Converter does much the same as MediaCoder, outputting a 0 byte file, but listing itself as "conversion completed".

I'm converting to wmv9, and wma2 audio. Keeping source ratio and framerate (23.976 fps). What could be the problem?

Use hdconverttox and rip from your original blu-ray. Don't discuss warez releases.
