I am a little new to the the HD ripping scene and am having some problems with getting my rips to work on my blu ray player.

What I have done so far is used evodemux to demux an episode of Heroes season 1 into its .mpv and .mpa streams. I then remux the files using TSMuxer selecting avchd for output. After that I create a disc with the episode and try it in my BDP-S300. It plays but there is no audio and the video stutters. Also the player reports that the video is 1080i/60hz when I know its 1080p/24hz, it also detects and lists the DD+ soundtrack but sends nothing to my receiver.

Not sure what the problem is, please help.

*Edit*- I have tried this on multiple videos all with the same effect. BD player reporting 1080i/60hz and stuttering playback reagardless of the source VC-1 or AVC.

Just tried my first file with MultiAVCHD. It is a 7min dts-ma audio demo and when i run the disc in my bd player I still get stuttering video and my dts-ma track is gone, replaced with some AC3 non-sense. It sounds fine, but I don't understand with I lost the lossless audio.

  4. DTS as well as the other "hiDef" audio standards (Dolby HD etc.) are NOT part of the AVCHD standard and therefore not supported...

  5. Go to audio settings in MultiAVCHD there are different options in the settings for output.
if dts-ma does not work try dts-still better than ac3 . just check the option you require.
as for video you can also convert it to avc 1080p.
the proper standard for avchd is.......avc video and ac3 audio. blu-ray standard has a bigger tollerance for codecs etc.
another thing you could try is in the final stage select blu-ray disc output then burn to dvd-r disc.
that option works for me everytime, blu-ray player see,s it as a blu-ray disc even though its on dvd-r
give it a try and let us know how you get on

Ok so I tired ripping the entire DTS demo disc and convert that to avchd. The videos are in various formats and settings so it allowed to to try some differnt stuff. There was an mpeg2 encoded video that works perfectly fine audio (dts-ma) and all. A couple of the AVC video stutter audio and video, a couple work fine, and I have yet to get a vc-1 video working right.

I also have a new development in theis whole process. I recently aquired an HD DVD burner and some blank discs. I would now like (just for fun) to convert some BDs into HD DVDs. I noticed that this should all be pretty plan and simple using MultiAVCHD, but I am encountering a problem. The HD DVD authoring section only seems to be setup for burning HD DVD compatible files onto DVD-Rs and no real HD DVD-rs. So my question is, is there any way to change to settings on multiavchd to allow the suthoring of a full 15 or 30 gig hd dvd?
