Hi guys! I have some anime files that are mp4 or avi but for some reason they show as unsupported files. I tried using ps3 media player and that didn't work, also I don't want to stream movies from my pc. I simply want to copy then to my ps3 hdd so I can play them without the need of having my pc on. Anyway my questions is how can I fix these files and how do I go about it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Grab mediainfo or gspot and use these to determine the internal information about the no playing clips ... then compare with "supported" file types here

Should anything show as unsupported you will need to either remux or re-encode the problematic file

Thanks for the info. The problem is that I'm a complete noob when it comes to this... and I really have no idea what is wrong. I tried to remux to .m2ts and I got the file to play but it gives me no sound. Here is what I got from a file that won't work from mediainfo"

edit - sorry I was posting about m2ts - didn't realize you were converting to that and having issues.

Try converters that have a ps3 output setting. Something like super or xvid4psp.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Thanks a lot guys! I'm using xvid4psp to convert the files and they're working now. Again thanks for all of your help.
