first thing i would try is another type of media...i.e...media code...if thats not it then i would burn the first 6...then wait a few minutes...maybe 5 or 10 and try it...i had this happen with my lite on and it was 2 things...media was crap and also there were processes running in the background that created a lockdown on imgburn and the disc would just stay at like 10% and do nuthin until i reset my pc...i started to wait a while so all apps in the background quit running and i havent had an issue since....oh yeah...also use imgburn over nero

If you are burning one after the other, your burner may be overheating. If you wait ten minutes or so, does the sixth or seventh burn? And I would also recommend ImgBurn over Nero for burning just about anything.

But with either program, post a copy of the burning log and there should be an error shown that might explain the problem.

There is also a chance that the buffer for the drive isn't refreshing and it runs out of space.

Also, when you said you 'turn drive off for 10 sec then back on again', is that an external burner? If so, on a USB connection?

And this isn't authoring. Moving you to our DVD & Blu-ray Writers forum.
