    I'm taking a video off of my satellite receiver and trying to watch it on my computer. I click on propertys and it says svhd_video. So do I need to convert this or what? I tryed isobuster and divx but it dosen't seem to recognize the svhd format. Any help would be helpful,poolboy

    Try dropping it into MediaInfo and that should tell you the format. What brand and model is your satellite receiver? Someone here may have some better information about conversion.

    I found Aiseesoft ts convertor and that finally worked. 35$ to purchase.

    If it's just a transport stream, .ts, there are plenty of freeware options.
