Just bought a new Hi-Def Canon Vixia HF-200. Is there a tripod for this camera where I can control the zoom and "On" and "Off" button from the tripod?

No, remote IR is the only option. A problem with my Canon HV20 is an IR blind spot at the rear of the cam. I'm not sure if the HF has the same issue.
Older Sony cams had a hardware Ctl-L interface for tripod zoom controls.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

They make remotes for that camera, you should use that if you cant find what your looking for.
