Copyright reported on analoue camcorder capture

Hi, trying to capture some analogue footage fro my Sony camcorder usingg an Ezcap 116 device but the capture is aborted by both ShowBiz DVD2 and Powerdirector 8 as copyright material.

I know that this is down to the fact that the software is seeing Macrovision on the tape and assumes it's copyright.

Is there a way around this problem. Should mention these are the first tapes I have this problem on and I think, but have not yet confirmed, that if I go past the offending section then the capture will work OK.

There are many threads hear about avoiding false (or real) Macrovision detection.

You could also try a Grex.
