I'm embarrassed, as a media professional, that I don't know the best way to do this.
BD-R is produced and recapturing all the camera media will be a much bigger bitch than simply getting the BD-R content into some editable format. Without the roundabout explanation...I want the content intact, don't care so much about the quality loss, so it can be repackaged onto a DVD-5. That's the easy part (I suspect?) but the monkey wrench is that I want to add a bug/watermark across all the video. I'm quite sure Compressor has watermarking options but not sure at all if this would add drastic processing time to the whole process.
I am not dual-booting to XP (yet) and would like to do this natively in OSX. I have just acquired MakeMKV but not sure this would entirely accommodate my goals...particularly getting the footage to something editable.
I'm thinking the easiest/most-straightforward way to accomplish this would be to have an uncompressed rip of the BD-R, compress it to SD MPEG-2 in Compressor & in the same process, add the watermark. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
