    Hi,
    Need help here

I want to convert 25fps dv video into 50fps HALF resolution video. (NOT FULL RESOLUTION).
    i.e convert 25fps fields video (720 X 576) into 50 fps (720 X 266). and after post production back to 25 fps field video.

    I tried virtualdub's bob filter but it convets (720 X 576) 25fps video into 50fps (720 X 576). I want it to convert into 50fps (720 X 266).

    Can anyone help.
    Please

    Using Avisynth:

    DirectShowSource("path\file")
    SeparateFields

Save as an .avs file and open with VirtualDub. It will see it as half vertical res and twice the fps.

  3. In VirtualDub use the Deinterlace filter. Choose the Discard Fields and Double Frame Rate (TFF or BFF) option.

A word of warning, with interlaced YV12 video (from the MPEG 2 source filter for example) VirtualDub does not handle the chroma channels correctly. Convert to YUY2 or RGB first. Or just use AviSynth.

    I guess you mean 50fps 720 x 288.
I would use Avisynth as suggested by Megahurts.
