  1. Ok so I'm new here but I have a Dazzle DVC 100 capture card but id does not allow me to play my games in HD and I'm beginning to get headaches by not being able to play in HD when I want to record my games. What capture card could I buy that would allow me to play my games in HD? Please help.

    Hauppauge HD-PVR

It will loop 1080i or 720p analog component to your TV. Hardware encoding is to h.264 over USB2.

  4. AverMedia also makes an HD capture device. I have no idea how well it works but it's a lot cheaper than the Hauppauge HD PVR.

I believe it uses software compression so you'll probably need a beefy system to capture HD.

And the BlackMagic Intensity Pro can capture both HDMI (as long as it's not HDCP protected) and component video.

Those amazon reviews of the BlackMagic Intensity Pro are scary. Can it be true that it won't work on an i7 box?!

BM Intensity is more about RAID issues if you aren't using their MJPEG codec.

Amazon users are in over their head with this product.
