  1. I use Virtualdub to frameserve my AVI-file (converted with VFAPIConv) to CCE.

    This works in Windows 98.
It doesn't work in Windows XP:
CCE 2.25 crashes, CCE 2.64 says Invalid AVI file.

    Anyone who can help?

From what I recalled only CCE 2.50 supports VDR (VirtualDub Frameserver) and not CCE 2.62+

  4. But where can one get CCE? I went to the tools page and clicked through to the demo but there is only user guilds available for download. Any suggestions??

  5. Does frameserving work using windows 2000 server. I have found CCE 2.5. Now I can't seen to get frameserving working using VirtuaDub but I can't seem to open the vdr signpost file, I have tried changing the extention to avi but to no avail. I have tried TempEnc and CCE but neither will open the frameserve file. I am just curious if it is because of Windows 2000 Server. Please help.

  8. After lots of research and experimenting, my conclusion is:

Frameserving using Virtualdub to CCE2.5 or higher does NOT work in Windows XP in most of the cases. A slight number of users are lucky though.

Solution: Use Win98 2edt. for SVCD encoding.

    Good luck.
