Converting PPT DVD so it will play on MAC's any DVD player

I have a DVD made by a member of our class for distribution to classmates. It plays on my computer, but I want to make it playable on MAC's, and DVD players (for those who may not have a computer. There are photos, music synched with the photos. I'm not sure how to do this as I'm not very computer literate, so much of what I read is foreign to me. Can I convert this program as a package or will I have to do it piecemeal? Total content is 603 mb.
Should I convert it to VCD or is there another way to maintain the resolution? Thank you for any help you can give me.
