Hi!
I had recently started transcoding avi videos and converting them into x264 mkvs using MEGUI.Now i am stuck with a strange problem: the encoded video's frame width. I am able to do the transcoding but when i play the mkv output, the width does not fit to screen and therefore,on the right end of the screen,i can see a small portion of the same frame being repeated. The original avi plays fine but the mkv output has this problem. And,i face this problem only when playing it in Divx player. When i play it in wmp or vlc player, the frame width seems to be perfect. So is this a Divx playback problem for playing mkvs or is it something else?Any suggestions to solve this strange and annoying problem?
I have attached screenshots for a better understanding of the problem
the first screenshot is the mkv file with the width problem (as you can see)
the second file is the avi
Thanks in advance.

It looks like the divx player ignores the display aspect ratio in the mkv. Can you post the details from the mkv? Use MediaInfio, open mkv, view->text and copy and paste.

Also check the MKV file's frame dimensions. Some decoders don't like non-mod16 or non-mod8 frame sizes.
